Old Town Trio splits the difference between a hotel and a rental flat, and for many travellers that's the sweet spot. The units are modern and minimalist, with kitchenettes, dressing areas and generous layouts, while the round-the-clock reception desk shared with the adjacent hotel handles the practicalities a bare apartment can't — late arrivals, luggage, local questions.

The setting on Raugyklos gatvė is calmer than the postcard streets but well connected: Halės Market is nearby for supplies, the train and bus stations are an easy walk, and the Old Town's restaurants and sights are within comfortable strolling distance. Value is the recurring theme in guest feedback — a lot of space for a reasonable spend, with strong Wi-Fi and good water pressure thrown in.

Good to know

The apartments suit families, small groups and longer stays best — anyone who'll actually use the kitchenette and the elbow room. Booking the breakfast buffet at the hotel next door adds a hotel-style morning without giving up the flat.

The compromises are worth weighing. Housekeeping can be inconsistent, with reports of dusty corners and the occasional unwashed pan left in a kitchenette; there is no lift, so upper-floor units mean hauling luggage up stairs; and sound insulation between rooms is thin enough to hear chatty neighbours. The lower-level and basement family units are the weakest of the bunch, sometimes described as chilly or slightly musty — ask for an upper floor if stairs aren't a problem.
