  • Home to Saint Jacob's, the first Basque restaurant in Vilnius, led by chef Luis Lopez Comas.

The new kid in Naujamiestis

The AC Hotel by Marriott brought the brand's pared-back, European-minded design to Vilnius in October 2025, and everything still feels box-fresh. It stands on Vasario 16-osios gatvė in Naujamiestis, a flat, easy walk from Gediminas Avenue and Lukiškės Square, with the Old Town in one direction and the river crossing to the business district in the other. The 271 rooms are calm and contemporary, with Nespresso machines, smart TVs, heated bathroom floors and good toiletries.

The house restaurant is a genuine curiosity: Saint Jacob's, the first Basque restaurant in the city, run by chef Luis Lopez Comas. Add a spacious bar, a lounge built for laptop hours and a well-equipped 24-hour gym, and it works as well for a work trip as for a weekend. Breakfast draws particular praise — a wide, high-quality buffet served in a calm, roomy dining space.

Good to know

This is the pick if you'd rather have new-build polish than creaking heritage: everything from the lobby to the lift works exactly as it should, service is attentive, and upgrades are handled graciously. Remote workers rate the common areas, and the location splits the difference nicely between the Old Town and the modern centre.

The gripes are minor but real. Underground parking is expensive — around €30 a night — and guests have found the reservation and billing process for it unclear. The front desk can queue up at peak check-in times, evening dining doesn't match the excellent breakfast, twin beds run slightly narrow, and not every room comes with a view.
