The short version
  • Big, flavourful sandwiches many call the best they've had — on homemade bread.
  • Generous portions that work out as great value for the price.
  • A cosy, relaxed, dog-friendly space that's good for working over a coffee.
  • Small and popular — it often sells out, so check before you head over.

Generous sandwiches on homemade bread

SandWitch is a small, much-loved sandwich shop where visitors rave about generously sized, creative sandwiches built on homemade bread. The portions are substantial enough to be a full meal, the staff are friendly and accommodating with allergies, and the room is cosy and relaxed — the kind of place where people settle in to work over a coffee. It's dog-friendly, too.

The line-up leans playful: regulars single out the Tuna Melt and a sandwich called Madam BDSM, with Micheladas among the popular drinks. The space is genuinely small and the shop has a habit of selling out, so following their Instagram for daily updates before you visit is the smart move.

Good to know

SandWitch is at Aušros Vartų g. 4, on the street that runs down to the Gate of Dawn in the heart of the Old Town — an easy stop while exploring the historic core. Given how small it is and how often it runs out, it's worth checking ahead rather than counting on it for a fixed lunch slot.

Best for
a big, creative sandwich; laptop-friendly and dog-friendly.
  • Often sells out — check their Instagram for the day's status.
  • Confirm current opening hours with the venue before visiting.
