The short version
  • Often named the best and most authentic kebab in Vilnius.
  • Run by its Turkish owner, Talha, whose warm, charismatic welcome is half the draw.
  • Exceptionally generous portions — even a 'small' is large — and fresh, quality ingredients.
  • A small takeaway kiosk on Kedrų Street with limited seating; expect a wait at peak times.
  • Great value; ask for less sauce if you prefer your kebab drier.

Vilnius's best kebab, from Talha himself

Pas Talha Kebabinė is a small, much-loved kebab kiosk on Kedrų Street, southwest of the centre, that locals routinely rank as the best kebab in Vilnius. It's an authentic Turkish operation run by its owner, Talha — a real Turk who speaks good Lithuanian and prepares each kebab to tradition — and his friendly, charismatic welcome is as much the reason people come back as the food.

The cooking is honest and generous: juicy, well-seasoned meat, fresh vegetables and quality ingredients, served in lavash or on a plate, with chicken kebab and fries among the favourites. Portions are famously large — even the 'small' is substantial — which makes it outstanding value. If you like a drier kebab, just ask for less sauce.

It's primarily a takeaway spot with only a little seating, and it gets busy, so be ready for a short wait at peak hours. For a fast, authentic, well-priced meal off the tourist track, few places in the city are more beloved.
